Ruben Cornelis Lucas Moolhuizen, known professionally as Ruben Annink, was born on June 13, 1998, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He began his music career by participating in the second season of The Voice Kids in 2012 and became the runner-up in the fourth season of De beste singer-songwriter in 2015. Annink released several notable singles, including "Terwijl Jullie Nog Bij Me Zijn" (2015), and collaborated with various artists such as Ali B on a performance for the Dutch TV program De Wereld Draait Door. In 2016, he wrote a song in honor of writer Pia de Jong's book Charlotte and released the single "Nu Of Nooit", featuring rapper Johnna Fraser and DJ Monica Geuze. Annink left his record label Trifecta to join Warner Music Benelux in 2018. His club tour, which began in early 2020, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed in October 2021. He followed with the album 13 (2022), and singles, including "Blijf Dan Hier" (ranked number 21 in Netherlands charts).
