Ridiculon

Ridiculon is an experimental music duo formed by Canadian musicians Matthias Bossi and Jon Evans. The duo first made a name for themselves with their indie rock band The Hylozoists, before collaborating under the name Ridiculon to create unconventional, genre-bending music. Ridiculon made a name for themselves in the video game world with their composition of the soundtrack to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (2014) and its expansions, bringing a distinctive style that combines eerie carnival sounds, dark ambient textures, industrial rhythms and experimental instrumentation. Their music plays a key role in creating the unsettling yet singular atmosphere of the game, originally created by Edmund McMillen. In addition to The Binding Isaac series (2014 to 2021), Ridiculon has composed music for other independent titles such as Ufouria: The Saga 2, and continues to produce eclectic compositions that fuse electronic production with unusual acoustic instruments. Their other album releases include The End Is Nigh (2017), The Legend of Bum-Bo (2019), Super Meat Boy Forever (2020) and the Mewgenics series, begun in 2025 and continued on WMEW: The Heartbeat of Boon County (2026).
