Richard Santos

Uruguayan musician Richard Santos built his profile as a cumbia singer-songwriter through steady, platform-first releases that mixed originals with crowd-tested covers. His earliest streaming-era singles included “Me Voy” and “Ahora Soy Yo” (both 2021), setting a template of romantic hooks and dancefloor-ready arrangements that he kept refining with 2022 tracks such as “Amor De Otro Planeta,” “No Se Va,” and “Si Me Dices Que Sí.” In 2023 he added new standalone singles like “Dícelo” and “Unx100To,” then shifted momentum in 2024 by leaning into video and live-session formats: “El Tren Ya Pasó,” “Ya Es Tarde,” and “Luna” expanded his catalogue, while the medley-style release "Richard Santos Sessions #1 - Son De Amores / Pobre Corazón / Ahora" pushed his visibility further, reaching seven-figure view counts. By 2025, he doubled down on that approach with "MUSIC SESSIONS #2 / Desconocidos / Nunca la olvidé / Corazón guerrero" and landed his most high-profile collaboration to date, joining Uruguayan hitmaker Lucas Sugo on “No Te Creo Nada,” released as a joint single with Sugo handling production.
