Rich Boy

Marece Benjamin Richards, known professionally as Rich Boy, was born on February 8, 1983, in Mobile, Alabama. He is an American rapper who began his career after dropping out of Tuskegee University, where he studied mechanical engineering to pursue a rap career. His breakthrough came with the single "Throw Some D's" featuring Polow da Don, which peaked at Number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006. This success led to his debut studio album Rich Boy, released in March 2007, through Zone 4 and Interscope Records. The album reached Number 3 on the Billboard 200. Notable singles from this period include "Boy Looka Here" and "Good Things". In 2009, Rich Boy released another single, "Top of the World", which was part of the album Music Inspired by More Than a Game. His subsequent releases included the mixtape Back to Class in 2013 and the studio album Break the Pot, also in 2013. Rich Boy won the BET Hip Hop Awards for Rookie of the Year in 2007.
