Stefan Đurić, known by his stage name Rasta, was born on November 16, 1989 in Priština, SFR Yugoslavia (now Kosovo). He is one of Serbia's best-known rappers and also works as a producer. Musically, Rasta moves between hip-hop, trap and dancehall and has been shaping the Serbian music scene since the 2010s with a distinctive style that combines Jamaican influences with Balkan rap. Stefan Đurić first became known as a producer and songwriter. He achieved his breakthrough as a solo artist in 2014 with the single "Kavasaki". This was followed by further chart successes such as "Cura broj 1", "Euforija" and "Adio Amore". His first studio album Independento was released in 2015 and recorded high streaming figures throughout the Balkans. With Rastafarian (2017), Don Reggaeton (2019) and Geto Sport (2021), he continues to build his reputation as a commercially successful artist. The single "23", released in 2023, marks one of his most recent successes. A new single, "Tajland", is released at the beginning of 2025. Rasta regularly collaborates with other greats from the Serbian music scene, including Relja Popović, Ana Nikolić and Buba Corelli. He is also in demand as a producer for other artists. Over the years, he has developed his own sound language, which has made him a permanent fixture on the South East European music market.
