Radiogeist is a German-British rock band that was founded in June 2022. The members are guitarist Rumen Iliev from Düsseldorf, drummer Julio Baterista from Bonn and bassist and singer George George from London. Rumen Iliev and George George have known each other since their youth in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, where they played in a band together. After years apart, they reconnected in 2022 and began writing new music. Within a short time, enough material for an album is created, which leads to the formation of Radiogeist. The band combines elements of heavy rock, alternative metal and melodic metal. Their sound is often compared to groups such as Mastodon, System of a Down and Foo Fighters. Radiogeist emphasizes powerful riffs, catchy melodies and energetic rhythms. In February 2023, their debut album 8 is released on the Regent Street Records label. In the same year, they released several singles, including "Why Am I So Good", "Under The Bridge" and "Fly High". The second album, 9, follows in April 2025, which is again released via Regent Street Records and contains nine new tracks. Radiogeist performs at various festivals and concerts in Europe, including appearances in Germany, the UK, Bulgaria, Sweden and the Netherlands. Notable events include Polinerooock Fest 2023 in Plovdiv and a UK tour in March 2025 with concerts in London, Manchester and Liverpool. In 2022, Radiogeist wins the German Rock & Pop Award in three categories: Best Rock Band, Best Hard Rock Band and Best Alternative Band.
