Pony Club is an Irish music project from Dublin led by Mark Cullen, formed in 2001. Cullen had previously performed with Bawl, which released Year Zero (1996) on A&M Records, before continuing as Fixed Stars on Mercury Records. Adopting the name Pony Club, he signed to Setanta Records and released the debut album Home Truths in 2002, followed by Family Business in 2004. The project also featured contributions from musicians associated with A House and The Kybosh, reflecting Cullenâs connections within the Dublin music scene. His songwriting has been compared to Jarvis Cocker and praised by artists including Morrissey and Terry Hall.
