Taurus Tremani Bartlett, better known as the stage name Polo G, is an American hip-hop artist who began releasing platinum-certified singles in 2019. Born in Chicago on January 6, 1999, he started rapping in his hometown as a teenager. After uploading his earliest singles to various audio websites and video platforms, Polo G scored his first platinum-certified hit with "Finer Things," which was released in 2019. "Pop Out," featuring fellow rapper Lil Tjay, was released that same year and climbed to Number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, eventually going six-times platinum. The hit singles "Battle Cry," "Deep Wounds," and "Heartless" also appeared in 2019, as did his platinum-selling debut album, Die a Legend. Now a genuine star, Polo G climbed to Number 2 on the Hot 100 with his 2020 album, The Goat, and subsequently topped the same chart with 2021's Hall of Fame. The latter album included his international hit single "Rapstar," which hit Number 1 in America, Canada, and New Zealand. "Rapstar" went triple-platinum in the US, while its follow-up hit, "Gang Gang," went gold.
