Plena Libre is a Puerto Rican plena and bomba music ensemble formed in 1994 that is known for blending traditional folk styles with contemporary dance arrangements. Their debut album Juntos y Revueltos was released in 1999, followed by Más libre in 2000. The group gained recognition with their 2004 release "¡Estamos Gozando!". Plena Libre has toured internationally, performing at events such as the Moroccan Fes Festival and the Playboy Jazz Festival in 2008. They have received multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy nomination for Mi Ritmo in 2003, including their first Latin Grammy nomination for Mas Libre in 2001.
