Plebe Rude

Plebe Rude, a Brazilian post-punk group from Brasília, was formed in July 1981 by Philippe Seabra, André X, and Jander Bilaphra. The band's early influences included the Clash, leading them to perform under the name Clash City Rockers. Plebe Rude gained attention after performing with Legião Urbana at a rock festival in Patos de Minas in September 1982. Their debut album, O Concreto Já Rachou, was released in 1986 under EMI and featured collaborations with Fernanda Abreu and George Israel. The band's music often addressed social and political issues. Plebe Rude disbanded in 1994 when Seabra moved to New York but reunited in 1999 for performances at festivals like Porão do Rock '99. Notable singles include "A Mesma Mensagem" and "68".
