Piri & Tommy are an English drum‑and‑bass duo formed in 2021, consisting of Sophie McBurnie and Tommy Villiers. The pair first met on Instagram in 2020, later beginning a romantic and musical partnership that blended their shared admiration for artists such as Disclosure and Kaytranada. Their initial breakthrough came with the single "Soft Spot" in June 2021, which garnered over 18 million streams on Spotify. In 2022, they released the mixtape froge.mp3, featuring tracks "Beachin" and "On & On", the latter reaching number 99 on the UK Singles Chart on 28 July 2022. The duo performed at the 2022 Reading Festival and were subsequently signed to Polydor Records. In November 2022 they issued a cover of Charli XCX’s "Unlock It", which gained popularity on TikTok. By December 2022, Piri & Tommy were nominated for BBC Radio 1’s Sound of 2023. In January 2023, the duo announced their split, though they indicated a continued musical collaboration.
