Pickettywitch

Pickettywitch were a British pop group formed in England in 1969. The original line-up included Polly Brown on vocals, Chris Warren as secondary lead singer, Bob Brittain on organ, Martin Bridges on guitar, Mike Tomich on bass guitar, and Keith Hall on drums. Pickettywitch signed with Pye Records under producer John Macleod and released their debut single "You Got Me So I Don't Know" in July 1969. The group achieved significant success with the hit single "That Same Old Feeling", which reached number five on the UK Singles Chart in 1970 and peaked at number 40 on the Cashbox pop chart in the US. This breakthrough was followed by two more charting singles that year: "(It's Like A) Sad Old Kinda Movie" (number 16) and "Baby I Won't Let You Down" (number 27). The group released their self-titled debut album in 1970. In late 1972, Polly Brown left to pursue a solo career, marking the beginning of the end for Pickettywitch. The band called it a day in 1973.
