Philipp Poisel

German musician Philipp Poisel was born on June 18, 1983 in Ludwigsburg and began playing guitar and drums as a child. After his first demo recordings with producer Frank Pilsl, Poisel came to the attention of famous German singer Herbert Grönemeyer in 2007, who signed him to his record label Grönland the following year. The debut album Wo fängt dein Himmel an? was released in summer 2008 and reached 37th place in the charts in Germany. In the course of the same year, the musician performed as a supporting act for Herbert Grönemeyer, Maria Mena, Ane Brun and Susanne Vega. Philipp Poisel made his commercial breakthrough in 2010 with his second album Bis nach Toulouse, which climbed to 8th place in Germany and 12th place in Austria. A year later, he released the single "Eiserner Steg", which is part of the soundtrack to the film What a Man and climbed to 4th place in the German charts. The live album Projekt Seerosenteich , released in 2012, reached the top of the German charts and the single "Wolke 7", a collaboration with musician Max Herre, released in the same year, was also a success. this was followed in 2017 by the number one hit album Mein Amerika, which reached 6th place in the charts in Austria and 9th place in Switzerland. The album Neon followed in September 2021 with the songs "Was von uns bleibt" and "Zu zweit".
