PhilHarmoUniQue is a Japanese four-piece band formed in 2002 in Nagoya, Japan as the predecessor band "Jiyujin" and formed in 2007 in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The band was formed in Nagoya, Japan in 2002 as the predecessor band "Jiyujin" and changed its name to the current one in 2007. The name "PhilHarmoUniQue" is a coined word combining "philharmonic" and "unique." In 2007, the band performed at major festivals such as SUMMER SONIC and COUNTDOWN JAPAN. On September 24, 2008, the band released the single "Michishirube", which was also used as the theme song for the Toho movie "Ikigami".
