Peter Rubin

Peter Kohlhuber, known professionally as Peter Rubin, was born on 5 May 1942 in Mährisch-Ostrau, Reichsgau Sudetenland, now part of the Czech Republic. He is a German singer who began his musical journey by forming the band Pemagos with friends in the 1960s. His first single, "Wieder daheim (Homeward Bound)", was released in 1966. He represented Germany at the Internationalen Liederwettbewerb in Zoppot, Poland, in 1967. His breakthrough came with his hits "Hätt ich einmal nur Zeit" and "Azzurro" in the late 1960s. His notable albums include Immer Mehr (1970), Heute Passiert's (1971), and Wir Zwei Fahren Irgendwo Hin (1973). He collaborated with artists such as Freddy Breck and Cindy & Bert on albums like Frohe Weihnachten (1974) and Schöne Ferien (1976). His career spanned over 45 years, during which he released around 40 singles and a similar number of albums. He also worked as a songwriter for other artists and moderated various radio shows. In 2002, he released the album Seine großen Erfolge.
