Peace Love & Pitbulls, a Swedish/Dutch industrial rock band, was formed in Amsterdam in 1992 by Joakim Thåström. The group's debut album, Peace Love and Pitbulls, released the same year, was essentially a solo project by Thåström. Early members included Nick Hell on samples and programming, Niklas Sporrong on guitar and bass, and Peter Puders on guitar. Their second album, Red Sonic Underwear (1994), received underground acclaim but had limited commercial success due to its marginalized style. Puders left before the release of their third album, PLP3, which featured more 1980s synth sounds and garnered greater interest. Despite this, the band disbanded in 1997. The group's influence extended to other bands like Misery Loves Co., who cited Peace Love & Pitbulls as an inspiration.
