Paula Lima

Paula Lima is a Brazilian singer and composer born on October 10, 1970, in São Paulo. She began her professional career in 1992 as a member of the band Unidade Móvel, which released the studio album Quebrando o Gelo (1994). She provided vocals for the Jorge Ben Jor studio recording 23 (1995). Lima launched her solo career with the studio album É Isso Aí (2001). She followed this with the international release Diva Paulista (2002) and her eponymous studio recording Paula Lima (2003). Her recording career includes the studio albums Sinceramente (2006) and O Samba é do Bem (2014). Lima portrayed Grizabella in the Brazilian production of the musical Cats (2010) and served as a judge on the television program Ídolos (2008) between 2008 and 2010. Her musical contributions include the tracks “Margem da Pele” (2001) for the film Amores Possíveis and “Moonlight Serenade” (2003) for the television series Mulheres Apaixonadas.
