Paul Brandt

Paul Brandt, born Paul Rennée Belobersycky on July 21, 1972, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is a Canadian country music artist. He first sang publicly at his high school and later graduated from Mount Royal University with a degree in nursing. Brandt's breakthrough came in 1996 with the single "My Heart Has a History", which reached Number 1 in Canada and marked him as the first male Canadian country singer to reach the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart since Hank Snow in 1974. His debut album, Calm Before the Storm, followed shortly after, featuring hits like "I Do" and "Take It from Me". Brandt founded Brand-T Records in 2000, releasing notable works such as Small Towns & Big Dreams (2001). He has received multiple awards, including a Juno Award for Country Recording of the Year in 2008. His next releases include the albums This Time Around (2004), A Gift (2006), Give It Away (2011), and Just as I Am (2012).
