Parachute Express

Parachute Express was an American children's music group based in California, formed by Stephen Michael Schwartz, Janice Hubbard, and Donny Becker. They gained prominence as recording artists for Gymboree Play & Music, Walt Disney Records, and Trio Lane Records. In the early 1990s, they released six albums under Walt Disney Records’ Music Box Artist Series. Their breakthrough included performing the theme song to "Jay Jay the Jet Plane," featured in over 550 Gymboree franchises worldwide. Parachute Express formed their own label, Trio Lane Records, in 1995 and released several albums, including "Dr. Looney's Remedy" (1998) and "Don't Blink" (2005). They performed at notable events such as the 42nd and 43rd Presidential Inaugural Festivities, performing their song "We the Children." The group disbanded in late 2011, following tours of China in 2010 and 2011. Parachute Express received numerous awards, including multiple Parents' Choice Gold Awards, an Indie Award for "Dr. Looney's Remedy" (1998), and several NAPPA awards.
