Orville Johnson

Orville Johnson, born in 1953 in Edwardsville, Illinois, is an American resonator guitar player who emerged from the St. Louis music scene. He began his career as a session musician and has released numerous solo and collaborative albums. Johnson has appeared on notable platforms such as the radio show A Prairie Home Companion and the television program The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. His film debut was in the 1995 drama Georgia, where he appeared as a musician. Notable releases include Blueprint For The Blues (1998), Slide & Joy! (1999), and Freehand (2003). Johnson has taught at workshops such as the Puget Sound Guitar Workshop and other blues and guitar workshops across the U.S. and Canada.
