Oques Grasses

Oques Grasses, a Catalan group dedicated to making reggae-pop music, was formed in 2010 in Osona, Catalonia, Spain. The band’s early lineup included Josep Montero, Guillem Realp, Joan Borràs, and Arnau Altimir, with most members later completing studies at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya as the group expanded. Oques Grasses gained initial recognition with their self-released debut album Un dia no sé com in 2012. Their breakthrough came with the release of Digue-N’hi Com Vulguis in 2014 under the label Chesapik, which won them the Enderrock award for Group Revelation of the Year. The album featured a mix of reggae and pop elements, showcasing their evolving reggae-pop style. Following this success, Oques Grasses embarked on tours that included notable performances at the SummerFest in Milwaukee and the SummerStage Festival in New York’s Central Park. Their song “Així és el teu Nadal” was chosen as the Christmas theme for TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio. The group continued to release albums, including You Poni in 2016 and Fans del sol in 2019, each marked by their distinctive blend of reggae, pop, and eclectic influences. Oques Grasses also collaborated with other artists, contributing to tracks like “Bananeras” on La Pegatina’s Revulsiu, “Camins” with Obrint Pas and ZOO, and “The Bright Side” with Stay Homas.
