Only the Poets

Only the Poets are an indie-rock group from Reading, UK. The band were formed in 2017 by lead vocalist and guitarist Tommy Longhurst, bassist Andrew "Andy/Roo" Burge, guitarist Clem Cherry, and drummer Marcus Yates. Only the Poets first gained significant attention with their self-released singles, "Ceasefire" (2017), "Emotional" (2017) and "Dead Young" (2018) before unveiling their debut EP Speak Out in 2018, taking inspiration from the 1990s Britpop movement. They signed with Virgin EMI Records in 2023 and released "Even Hell," with live album Live on the Feels Like Home Tour also emerging in October 2023. 2024 saw the release of their breakthrough EP One More Night—which charted in the top ten in several European countries—as well as new singles "I Don’t Wanna Be Your Friend" and "All This Time."
