Oddisee

Amir Mohamed El Khalifa, known professionally as Oddisee, was born on February 24, 1985, in Washington, D.C., and raised in Silver Spring and Prince George's County, Maryland. He is a rapper and record producer who began his career with the release of Instrumental Mixtape Volume One in 2005. Oddisee gained attention for mixtapes such as Odd Summer, Odd Autumn, and Odd Winter. In 2010, he released Traveling Man on Mello Music Group. His work has been recognized by publications such as the Washington Post, which listed his Odd Spring EP among the best local hip-hop releases of 2010. His subsequent albums include People Hear What They See (2012), The Good Fight (2015), and The Iceberg (2017). Oddisee has collaborated with various artists, including YU and Uptown XO, as part of the hip-hop trio Diamond District. In the 2020s, he followed up with Odd Cure (2020), To What End (2023) and Odd Sketches, Vol. 1 (2024). In 2026, Oddisee collaborated with Heno. on From Takoma with Love.
