Nuance

Quebec rock band formed in 1975 in Gatineau (Canada), featuring Denis Lalonde, Daniel King, Mario Dubé and Mario Laniel. In 1983, singer Sandra Dorion joined the group. Nuance scored its first hit with the song " Amour sans romance " in 1985. The following year, " Vivre dans la nuit" sold over 70,000 copies and topped the charts for 10 weeks. The album of the same name was certified platinum in 1991, selling over 100,000 copies. Two other songs from this opus also reach number one: " Libre ", which stays there for 12 weeks, and " Sans être aimée ", which stays there for 4 weeks. In 1987, the band released an album of live covers entitled À Suivre. The following year, the band released their third opus, Journal Intime . The title track spent 6 weeks at number one in the Quebec radio charts. The band disbanded in 1988. During their career, they win three Félix awards: Discovery of the Year in 1986, Francophone Group of the Year and Best-Selling Single in 1987.
