Nowhere Boys

Nowhere Boys is a five‑piece Hong Kong pop‑rock group formed in 2015 by vocalist/guitarist Van Chan, drummer Nate Wong, guitarist Kenneth Angus, keyboardist/violinist Fisher Kan, and bassist Hansun Chan. The band began after Van Chan, an architect, met Nate Wong, a Berklee‑educated drummer, at a movie‑music event in October 2014; they later recruited Kenneth Angus, Fisher Kan, and Hansun Chan. Their self‑financed debut EP Nowhere Boys was released in July 2015, sold 1,000 copies in three months, and reached the iTunes Top Ten; the group signed with Frenzi Music later that year. In April 2016 they issued the second EP Welcome to Our Hyperreality, supported by a HK$100,000 crowdfunding campaign, and released the single "普通華" featuring Neo Yau Hawk‑Sau, which peaked at Number Seven on the Hong Kong Commercial Radio chart. Subsequent EPs Journey to Nowhere (2019) and Destination Nowhere (2020) added singles such as "天外飛仙" (2017) and "最後的摇滚" (2020).
