Noraya grew up in the Paris region, the daughter of an Algerian mother and a French father. Immersed in an artistic world from childhood - with a pianist grandmother, a saxophonist brother and jazz at home - she began playing the piano at the age of 8, followed by the guitar. At 13, a jazz camp in California opened her up to other horizons, before she developed a passion for dance. Trained by Mia Frye, she became a professional dancer, but music remained her common thread. After training as a jazz singer, she returned to the guitar, composed, set up a band and began performing on stage. She launched her musical career in 2020 with the single"Leila", then followed this up with several tracks in 2024. The same year, she signed to the Antipodes label and released her first EP,"Soleil de nuit", a critically acclaimed tribute to women. Noraya mixes French chanson, soul and bossa in an intimate and committed narrative.
