Noga

Born in Geneva on August 26, 1961, Swiss singer and pianist Noga Rappaport, known as Noga, blends jazz with chanson, folk and rhythms inspired by traditional music. With parents from Israel, she sings in several languages and works as a vocal and body teacher, notably through the Catalyse association she founded. Since her debut album Au Nom de Tes Rêves in 1995, Kurt Weill Jazz Songs (2000), produced with a quartet for Sony Classical, has been followed by Rien de Neuf, Sauf les Bulles (2006), Petit Avant-Goût en Attendant le Menu Complet (2009) and Miel et Poivre / Poivre et Miel (2010). His eclectic repertoire features a strong emphasis on original compositions, and is further enhanced by two recordings conceived with Cameroonian singer Patrick Bebey, Ça Tourne (2014) and Laisser Partir (2016). In 2018, Next includes lyrics by Alexis HK, Marie Nimier and Patrice Guirao, alongside covers by Serge Lama and Allain Leprest. Recorded live in the studio during the Covid-19 pandemic containment, the EP Et Si... (2019) precedes the album Lev (2023), featuring songs in Hebrew.
