NEO JAPONISM

NEO JAPONISM is a Japanese idol group formed in 2017, originating from Tokyo. The ensemble, styled in all caps, was assembled by Leadi Inc. and debuted with the single "Carry On" in September 2018. Their first full‑length album, Neo Glamorous, was released on 30 June 2018, establishing the group’s presence in the J‑pop scene. After a brief suspension in May 2019 due to contractual disputes, a refreshed lineup resumed activities in November 2019. The group released HERE NOW on 9 July 2020 and OVER TIME on 16 July 2020, both under Leadi Inc., followed by the compilation album NEO on 16 August 2022, which showcased a more mature pop sound. In March 2024, Kotobuki was issued as a mini‑CD, and the singles "Sniper", "WABISABI WASABI", and "Dear" were launched in May, June, and July 2023, respectively, each contributing to the group’s steady chart presence. Throughout its tenure, NEO JAPONISM maintained a consistent touring schedule across Japan, collaborated with emerging producers, and received several industry recognitions for their contributions to contemporary idol music. The group’s activities continued until January 2025, when a temporary hiatus was announced for reorganization; new members joined in March 2025, and the group resumed performances in April 2025, marking a new chapter in its evolving career.
