Natasha St-Pier

Natasha St-Pier (born February 10, 1981 in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Canada) is a leading figure in the generation of "chanteuses à voix québécoises" who have made a name for themselves in France and on both sides of the Atlantic. Noticed at a singing contest in 1993, she climbed the notoriety ladder one by one, from her first album Émergence, recorded at the age of fourteen, to the musical Notre-Dame de Paris, which revealed her in France in 1999, and her participation in the Concours de l'Euorivsion, where she finished in fourth place with the title "Je n'ai que mon âme". Three albums with Pascal Obispo and a Victoire de la Musique award (2003) consolidate her French career, which continues to move between chanson and pop-rock instrumentation. A silent period of several years came to an end in 2012 with the release of the album Bonne Nouvelle, supported by the duet "Juste comme ça" with Mickaël Miro, followed by a collaboration with Grégoire for the project Thérèse, Vivre d'Amour (2013). Two years later, she pays tribute to the songs of her native land on Mon Acadie. She then recorded the children's album L'Alphabet des Animaux (2017) and returned to the writings of Thérèse de Lisieux for Thérèse de Lisieux - Aimer C'est Tout Donner (2018). In 2020, the singer continues in the same religious vein with the personal album Croire.
