Naca7, an Austrian metal band from Schwechat was formed in 1997 by Michael "m.g." Girsa, Simon "es-j" Jahn, and Christopher Schnell. Their first performance took place at the Stand Up Club in Fischamend. In 1998, they released their debut EP, an untitled demo with two tracks. In 2000, Christian Hochi joined as a second guitarist, and the band released Welcome, which was named Demo of the Month by Metal Hammer. Naca7 gained significant recognition in 2001 when they were nominated for the FM4 Award at the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards. Their debut album, Several Reasons to Die For, was released in 2003, under Acute (Edel), followed by Barricades on Fire (2005), The Alliance Has Failed (2007), and Hall of Fame (2012).
