Myleene Klass

A time long ago, before Big Brother and X Factor and Simon Cowell (around 2001), ITV show Popstars became Britain's first reality TV contest, successfully crushing the dreams of millions of wannabes for our entertainment and picking out five winners to form an all-conquering pop group. Myleene Klass was one of the anointed members of Hear'say, who quickly became a huge sensation, scored the Number 1 hits Pure And Simple and The Way To Your Love, released chart-topping album Popstars (2001) and promptly split a year later. Classically trained at piano, violin and harp and with six generations of musicians in her family, Klass signed a five album deal with Universal and released the album Moving On (2003), a mix of classical standards such as Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and piano renditions of contemporary acts such as Linkin Park and Daniel Bedingfield. In 2006 she took part in ITV1's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, finishing second, and presented shows for Classic FM and Capital Radio while modelling for Marks & Spencer and hosting Channel 4's 10 Years Younger. She chronicled her pregnancy in the book My Bump and Me and has enrolled in an Open University course on astronomy, but continues to present TV shows like From Popstar To Operastar.
