Myd

Born on March 30, 1987 in Croix, Hauts-de-France, Quentin Lepoutre, better known by his stage name Myd, is a French producer, composer and sound engineer. Trained at La Fémis between 2008 and 2011, he met Sam Tiba, Panteros666 and Canblaster, with whom he founded the Club Cheval collective. The group quickly established itself on the French electronic scene, and in 2016 released the album Discipline, driven by an aesthetic blending house, electro and pop influences. At the same time, Myd has been pursuing a solo career since 2011. His first EPs opened the door to international collaborations, notably with Brodinski for the album Brava (2014) or with Theophilus London, on the album Vibes, featuring the track "Can't Stop" featuring Kanye West. His activity also leads him to French rap: he co-composes several tracks for SCH, Alonzo and Lacrim. Myd joined Ed Banger Records in 2017. He released the EP All Inclusive. That same year, he signed the soundtrack to Hubert Charuel's film Petit Paysan, which won a Valois de la musique award at the Angoulême Film Festival and was subsequently nominated for a César award. His reputation grew with Born a Loser (2021), his first album, featuring tracks such as "The Sun" and "Moving Men", recorded with Mac DeMarco. He then multiplied his collaborations, notably with Sônge and L'Impératrice, while continuing his remix activities for Dua Lipa and Major Lazer. His participation in the Squeezie and Kronomuzik video in 2021 led to the viral success of "Time Time" with Trei Degete. On August 28, 2024, Myd provided the DJ set for the opening ceremony of the Paris Paralympic Games on Place de la Concorde. The following year, he unveiled the more energetic, club-inspired album Mydnight (132nd in the French best-seller chart).
