Mr Micua

Mr. Micua is an Ecuadorian dancehall artist and producer who built his career out of the Latin dancehall and reggae scene under his real name, Jonathan Jusephe Hurtado. After showing interest in production and beat-making around 2018, he moved into professional releases in 2020 with early tracks such as “Mi Vida Va a Cambiar” and the collaborative cut “Flow Adderrall,” which introduced him as both a vocalist and producer on the regional circuit. In 2021 he expanded his catalog with singles like “No Love,” “Son Las 10” featuring Ksquette el Problema and “Un Chin” alongside Adroking, Magnus R Troy and Sossa, establishing himself as a sought-after collaborator in Ecuador’s dancehall community. His profile grew in 2022 through the party-driven collaborations “Pa’ las Gyales” and “Paula” with Adroking and Jossimar, while his solo single “Enrola,” released on November 19, 2022, marked one of his first key tracks under the Micua Music imprint. In 2023 he kept a steady release pace with “Embuste” alongside Jey Joe, the African dancehall-leaning “Pegadito” with Kevin Poul and Robert Explosivo, and “DPLC” with Pillo La Marca, all of which reinforced his dual role as performer and producer. The February 7, 2024 single “P!P!” with Lil New and Pillo La Marca became his best-known release, followed by further dancehall records such as “Dancehall S3x,” “Seguimiento,” “Siempre Calladito,” “Lento,” “Onza de Crippy,” “Oe” and “Nací para Ti,” confirming Mr. Micua as an active figure in contemporary Latin dancehall up to 2025.
