Mr. Airplane Man

Mr. Airplane Man, a rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, was formed in 1998 by Margaret Garrett and Tara McManus. The duo released their debut album Red Lite in April 2001, followed by Moanin' in September 2002 and C'mon DJ in January 2004. They gained recognition for opening shows for prominent acts such as Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The White Stripes, and The Strokes. In 2012, they released the EP Shakin' Around. After a hiatus, Mr. Airplane Man reunited in 2014 with the release of The Lost Tapes, a collection of unreleased recordings from 1999, and their self-titled album originally recorded in 1998. The band relocated to Los Angeles in 2016 to pursue work in film and television. Their most recent album, Jacaranda Blue, was released in 2018.
