m.o.v.e, a Japanese electronic music group, was formed in 1997 and consisted of Yuri Masuda on vocals, Mototaka Segawa on rap, and Takashi Kimura on keyboards, guitars, compositions, arrangements, and production. The group's debut single "Rock It Down" was released in October 1997, but it was their second single "Around the World", used as the theme for the anime Initial D, that brought them significant attention. In 2005, the group changed its name to m.o.v.e with added points between letters. Throughout their career, they released numerous albums and singles under Avex Tune, including notable tracks such as "Break in2 the Nite", "Blazin' Beat", and "Gamble Rumble". They also contributed theme songs for various anime series and video games, such as Ikki Tousen and Dynasty Warriors 2. In December 2008, Takashi Kimura announced his departure to focus on production. The group continued as a duo until their official disbandment in March 2013. Their final album, Best Moves ~ And Move Goes On~, was released in February 2013.
