Morgan Wade

Born on December 10, 1994 in Floyd, Virginia, US country artist Morgan Wade made a splash in 2021 with her debut album Reckless, positioning herself somewhere between country-rock and Americana with a sprinkling of pop added for good measure. Morgan Wade grew up listening to the bluegrass of her Appalachian homeland and began penning songs during her freshman year of college. Inspired by a breakup and after recruiting musicians on Craiglist in order to bring her creative vision to life, she recorded her first album, Puppets with My Heart, which was credited to The Stepbrothers and self-released in 2018. With the help of Sadler Vaden, Jason Isbell's guitar technician, and producer Paul Ebersold, she began putting together another full-length album, Reckless, which was released via Thirty Tigers in 2021 and earned her comparisons to Sheryl Crow. A deluxe version of Reckless was released in January 2022 containing six bonus tracks, including a cover of Elvis Presley's 1969 hit "Suspicious Minds."
