Monet192 (* 1997) is a singer and rapper from Switzerland. Born Karim Russo, the artist initially tried to make his music known via social media in 2017. The first EP 192 was released in 2018 and Monet192 achieved his first chart position in Switzerland at number 59. Monet192's breakthrough in Switzerland came in 2020. The hip-hop singer contributes to the album by German rapper Dardan. The single "H <3 T E L" becomes a top 10 hit in German-speaking countries. In the same year, Monet192 released his debut album Medical Heartbreak, which reached number 38 in the Swiss charts. Above all, the collaboration with Dardan helps Monet192 to become better known in Germany and Austria. With the singles "SoSo", "Gar Kein Bock", "Gigi" and "Sorry Not Sorry", he hits the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Monet192's second album, Four Seasons, follows in 2021. The rapper finally makes his breakthrough in German-speaking countries. The album climbed to number 4 in Switzerland and Monet192 also reached a top position in Germany at number 14. In November 2021, Monet192 released the EP Kinder der Sonne and the single "Narben". Monet has received several awards for his music, including Best Swiss Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2019 and 2021. In 2020, Monet192 received the Swiss Music Award for Best Talent.
