Modern Life Is War, an American rock band from Marshalltown, Iowa, formed in 2002. Their debut release was the self-titled EP Modern Life Is War on Lifeline Records. The group's first two studio albums, My Love. My Way. (2004) and Witness (2005), were released under Deathwish Inc., owned by Jacob Bannon of Converge. In 2007, they signed with Equal Vision Records and released their third album, Midnight in America. The band disbanded in February 2008 but reunited in September 2012 with previous members Jeffrey Eaton (vocals), John Paul Eich (guitar), Chris Honeck (bass) and Tyler Oleson (drums), adding Bo Becker (guitar). Their fourth studio album, Fever Hunting, was released in September 2013 on Deathwish Inc., produced by Kurt Ballou of Converge. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Witness, a remastered version was released in June 2015. In 2016, Oleson was replaced by Luke Rauch, before the release of singles from the Tribulation Worksongs (Vols 1, 2 & 3) series in 2018, collected in the Tribulation Worksongs compilation released in 2024. In 2025, twelve years after their last studio album, the band released their fifth full-length, Life on the Moon, featuring singles "Johnny Go", "Jackie Oh No" and "Bloodsport".
