Miyeon

Cho Mi-yeon (born on January 31, 1997 in Incheon, South Korea) (known as Miyeon) is a South Korean singer and actress. Studying music from a young age, Cho learned violin, guitar and piano and training with two entertainment agencies before joining South Korean girl group (G)I-dle in 2018 with their single “Pop/Stars” attracting considerable popularity online and charting at number 1 on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart. Making her acting debut in 2020, Cho acted in and recorded several popular soundtrack songs including “Dreaming About You” for Replay: The Moment (web-drama) which was nominated for an Outstanding Korean Drama OST award and “My Destiny”, from Tale of the Nine Tailed (television series). Continuing to release mini albums with (G)I-dle and hosting popular radio programs Gossip Idle and M Countdown in 2021, Cho’s popularity rose considerably, recording pop-ballad “You Were My Breath” with a 60-piece orchestra in May, charting at number 20 on the BGM Chart. In late 2021, Cho collaborated with South Korean artists Raiden on “Side Effect”, Lee Donghae on “Blue Moon”, followed by “Kitty” with rap artist Kid Milli. Making her solo debut in April 2022, Cho’s first EP My was released on April 27, with lead single “Drive” earning her a nomination for Best Female Artist at the 2022 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
