Missing Andy

Hailing from Braintree in Esssex, Missing Andy was formed in 2008 around singer Alex Greaves and guitarist Steve Rolls. The band is rounded out by Gareth Babet (keyboards), Rob Jones (bass) and Elliot Richardson (drums), who play electro-rock-sounding working-class alternative rock with social and political lyrics. Finalists on Must Be the Music in 2010, Missing Andy sign their debut album Generation Silence (2011), driven by the single "Sing for the Deaf" (#36 in the UK charts) and the anthemic "The Way We're Made (Made in England)" (#38). In the same vein, the band follow up with the diptych Guerrilla Invasion, Pt. 1 & 2, the two parts of which are released separately on the same day, April 1, 2013. They reach No. 9 and No. 10 respectively, whereas the first album did not appear in the charts. After an absence of several years, the band makes a comeback with the single "The Greatest Show on Earth" (2020) and continues to perform live.
