Miss Platnum

The German-Romanian singer and composer Miss Platnum was born Ruth Maria Renner on September 27, 1980 in Timișoara, Romania. After her first, comparatively unnoticed album Rock Me (2005), her second album Chefa is released on 25 May 2007, which is characterized by a mixture of hip-hop, soul, R&B, dancehall and Romanian music elements. The single "Come Marry Me" is a collaboration with Peter Fox, a member of the band Seeed, and enters the German charts at number 90. The artist celebrates greater success in Romania: her single "Give Me the Food" makes it into the top 20 of the charts there. in 2010, Miss Platnum contributed to the Marteria album Zum Glück in die Zukunft, before a collaboration with Marteria and Yasha resulted in an EP with five joint songs in 2012. The title track "Lila Wolken" immediately hits number one in the German singles charts after its release. In March 2014, Miss Platnum's first German-language album Glück und Benzin is released, followed by Ich war hier in 2015. Together with Cologne-based music producer Bazzazian, she released her sixth studio album The Opera in 2019.
