Mireille Darc (born Mireille Aigroz in Toulon, France, May 15, 1938 - died in Paris, France, August 28, 2017) was an icon and sex symbol of popular cinema in the 1960s and 1970s, and also recorded a number of spicy 45s, which can be found on the CD reissue of her only album Compartiment 23 (1969). In addition to songs by Serge Gainsbourg ( "La Cavaleuse", "Hélicoptère" and "Le Drapeau noir"), arranged by Michel Colombier, the actress from cult films such as Les Barbouzes, La Grande sauterelle (which earned her the nickname), Le Grand blond avec une chaussure noire and Les Seins de glace also recorded duets with France Gall ("Ne cherche pas à plaire ", 1967) and Michel Sardou ( "Requin chagrin", 1975). After becoming a documentary film-maker, she succumbed to a stroke at the age of 79.
