Miki Imai

Miki Imai, born Imai Miki on April 14, 1963, in Takanabe, Miyazaki, Japan, is a Japanese singer and actress. She began her career as a model in 1983 and transitioned into acting the following year, appearing in dramas and films. Her music career started with the release of her first single "Tasogare no Monorogu" on May 21, 1986. Imai's debut album femme followed later that year on December 5. Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, she released a series of successful albums including elfin (1987), Bewith (1988), and fiesta (1988). Her breakthrough came with the release of "Hitomi ga Hohoemukara" in November 1989, which was featured on her album Ivory released the following month. Imai continued to produce notable works such as "Piece of My Wish" (1991), "Blue Moon Blue" (1992), and "Miss You" (1994). In addition to her music career, she also lent her voice to animated films including Souvenirs goutte à goutte (1991) and Brave Story (2006). She returned with her 18th studio album Milestone, on November 22, 2006.
