Mick Flannery, born on November 28, 1983, in Blarney, County Cork, Ireland, is a singer-songwriter. Growing up in a musically inclined family, he was exposed to folk and blues music from an early age. His debut album Evening Train, released in March 2007, marked his breakthrough, featuring tracks that had previously won him two categories at the International Songwriting Competition in Nashville, Tennessee. Mick Flannery signed with EMI Records in 2007 and released his second studio album White Lies in September 2008, which reached a Top 10 position on the Irish Albums Chart and later went platinum. In April 2009, The Irish Times listed him at number forty-six in The 50 Best Irish Acts Right Now. Mick Flannery won Best Irish Male at the 2009 Meteor Awards. His subsequent albums include Red to Blue (March 2012), By the Rule (May 2014), I Own You (October 2016), and Mick Flannery (July 2019). In 2021, he collaborated with singer and guitarist Susan O'Neill for the studio album In the Game, followed by duo tours and the live recording In the Game 2021-2025, released in October 2025. In the meantime, Mick Flannery also recorded the solo albums Night at the Opera (2022) and Goodtime Charlie (2023).
