Merche

Mercedes Trujillo Callealta, known as Merche, was born in 1974 in Cádiz, Spain. She is a singer-songwriter and television presenter. Merche's musical career began with her participation in the Eurocanción contest in 2001, where she finished sixth with the theme "No pidas más amor". Her debut album Mi sueño was released in 2002 under Vale Music, selling over 100,000 copies. The lead single "No me pidas más amor" became the soundtrack for popular TV shows like Gran Hermano and Arrayán. In 2004, she released her second album Auténtica, which also sold over 100,000 copies. Her third album Necesito libertad (2005) reached double platinum status with more than 200,000 copies sold.
