Menoncle Jason

Jason LeBlanc, aka Menoncle Jason, is an Acadian country singer born in Memramcook, in southeastern New Brunswick. In 2016, he released his debut entitled Dans Son Prime , where he recounts his country life, problems with neighbors, drinking as well as his attempts to make money under the table. In 2017, he won Solo Recording of the Year at the Prix Musique NB. In 2019 comes his second opus, La Grosse Piastre, in which he asks where his character comes from, why he wants to keep his neighbors away, and his torments around work and money. He tours six European countries in March of the same year, performs in France in July and sings in the towns of Acadie (New Brunswick). In 2020, he wins SOCAN Song of the Year at the Prix Musique NB for his song " Florida ". In 2023, he releases a double live album featuring all the songs from his first two opuses. He is also the house band for four appearances on Radio-Canada's L'Embarras du Choix .
