Mehdi Bahmad

Mehdi Bahmad, born on March 4, 1994, in Rabat, Morocco, is a Moroccan-Canadian singer-songwriter. He moved to Montreal at eight and began his music career with a visual arts background. In April 2018, Bahmad released his first single "Rouge à Lèvres," which was self-produced and home-recorded. His debut EP Khôl followed in October 2019, reaching number 52 on iTunes Canada Top 200 Alternative Albums. In March 2020, Olof Dreijer from The Knife released a remix of "Rouge à Lèvres" inspired by The Knife's 2003 single "Pass This On."
