Megan Sullivan McInerney (born on July 6, 1990 in Sydney, Australia), known as Meg Mac, is an Australian singer and songwriter. She began writing songs while she was still at school, later studying Contemporary Music at the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Upon graduation, she recorded her debut single âKnown Betterâ (2013) gaining a considerable following after submitting it to Triple Jâs Unearthed radio program, securing her the coveted title of Artist of the Year, leading to a nomination for Best Female Artist and Breakthrough Artist at the 2014 ARIA Awards. Her platinum-certified EP MegMac was released in September that year, with single âNever Beâ reaching number 11 on the Triple J Hottest 100 list with her first studio album Low Blows (2017) debuting at number 2 on the ARIA Charts. In 2019, Meg Mac released powerful anthem âGive Me My Name Backâ from her second album Hope (2019) and after a brief hiatus, returned in 2022 with Matter of Time (2022), earning the singer her first number 1 chart debut. Following the release of the Live at Golden Retriever EP in November 2022, Meg Mac returned in 2025 with "He Said No", the first single from her fourth studio album It's My Party (2026).
