Born Craig Dimech (London, September 1970) the DJ, producer and composer better known as Meck boasts a decades-long career in electronic music that began in the late 1990s as an A&R at Ministry Of Sound label Incentive Music. He first gained widespread recognition in the mid-2000s with his rework of Leo Sayer's "Thunder in My Heart," titled "Thunder in My Heart Again," which became a global dance anthem, charting in multiple countries—including the UK where it reached number one—and solidifying Meck as a rising star in the dance music scene. He continued to build momentum with the follow-up single "Feels Like Home" (2007), featuring Italian singer, DJ, and producer Dino, which landed him another Top 40-charting hit in the UK. He went on to put out releases sporadically during the 2010s, scoring a Top 10 hit in the Netherlands with "Feels Like a Prayer" (a mashup of "Like a Prayer" by Madonna and "Feels Like Home") featuring Dino but retreating from the limelight. However, an Armand Van Helden remix of "Thunder In My Heart Again" brought renewed interest to the song and in 2023 he revived his solo production career with a remix of the Lola Audreys' 2022 single "Miami" featuring Nile Rodgers. In 2024, "Feels Like Home" found its way back into the UK's Top 100 Singles Sales Official chart.
