MC Ryan SP

Born Ryan Santana dos Santos in São Paulo on February 2, 2001, MC Ryan SP cut his teeth in the city’s baile funk scene before breaking through nationally in 2020 with the posse track “Vergonha pra Mídia.” He next released a series of attention-grabbing singles in 2022—“Revoada Sem Você,” “Favela,” the WIU collaboration “Felina,” and the viral dance hit “Tubarão Te Amo”—earning him a major-label deal with Warner Music Brasil while still affiliated with GR6 Music. In 2021, he launched his album journey with Hat-Trick do Tubarão and Lágrimas do Tubarão “Contos e Fatos,” establishing signature motifs of grit and narrative flair. He followed those with Um Toque de Malandragem in 2023 and Bad Boys in 2024, each project shifting sonic gears while reinforcing his core funk identity. In 2023, he masterminded the ten-minute collaborative single "Let’s Go 4" featuring a roster of São Paulo funk stars, asserting his role as a set-leading figure. Sustained relevance throughout 2024–25 came with a steady stream of high-profile features and solo drops—such as “Sexta Feira Hoje Tem,” “Bailarina da Favela,” “Voltei,” “Rasgando A Avenida,” and “Semi Nua”—demonstrating his dominance across digital platforms and the live scenes alike as Brazil’s funk tempo continued to accelerate.
